and (2) comparing the use or application of product to its capabilities.
In the initial phase of the investigation, we review the available
information on the failure and recommend tests and examinations
necessary to arrive at the root cause for failure from a materials
standpoint.
Our goal is always to determine the cause for failure and we
will provide our unbiased opinion promptly. At the same time,
we feel that diligence and perseverance in thoroughly investigating
failures can often disclose hidden causes.
In many investigations, the use of a multi-disciplinary expert
team is advised to insure that all aspects of a failure are fully
explored.
